About Dr. Denniston ND

Dr. Denniston is a California licensed naturopathic doctor trained in both conventional and functional medicine. She is most passionate about helping women optimize their hormonal health because it's often overlooked in the standard medical model. Supporting the gut microbiome is another passion of hers since gut health is essential to women’s hormonal health. Dr. Denniston has worked on publishing gut microbiome research with Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Christine Peterson at Sanford Burnham Prebys medical research institute in San Diego. This work has elucidated the relationship between the gut microbiome and traditional natural botanical medicines. She holds degrees from Bastyr University, a 4 year naturopathic medical school and Tufts University, for her undergraduate degree. She is frequently interviewed by publications like New York Magazine, Byrdie, Oprah Daily, Mindbodygreen, Well and Good, Huffington Post, Shape Magazine for her expertise in health and wellness. Playing beach volleyball, yoga, traveling, and cooking are her passions outside of medicine. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
